Content Creation & Social media strategy
Olay came to Schbang with the goal of changing their target audience & developing a brand presence that approached younger millennial women. As Olay was my main account, I started creating content that had witty, quirky, & uplifting concepts. #StartSmall was when Olay Minis had just launched, so we maximized the use of pastel colors, & illustrations to make the product look young & convenient, yet powerful & effective.
Olay’s goal was to make Retinol24 the most popular night cream in India. The product had launched in other countries, & was extremely successful. I created concepts that would increase curiosity about this upcoming product in ways that didn’t fully reveal what was launching. The suspense created a lot of engagement on the feed, which helped us gage how the consumers would interact with the product post launch.
At some point in the journey with Olay, they decided that rather than a quirky, pastel approach, they wanted to use their brand colors, & focus on solely the science & benefits behind the product. The target audience was still millennial women, but they wanted to position themselves as a brand that was scientifically backed. This changed concepts drastically since we were now limited to similar copies, but different visuals. I constantly created concepts that integrated ingredients & benefits while ensuring that the language was approachable for our audience. With all these changes, campaigns, & more, Olay’s engagement & followers increased by 400% in the year I was on the account.

Content Planning
A little bit about how I bring my ideas to life…
Step 1: Plan out the month’s focuses.
Step 2: Create a brief concept & figure out the messaging for each post or story.
Step 3: Add a copy & reference to solidify your idea, this helps working with your designer.
Step 4: Work with your designer until your vision comes to life!
*Note: This is to show the process of a single conceptualization to execution. The process involves several rounds of feedback from the internal team & the client. Below is a sneak peak of what the excel sheet flow looks like when I work on an entire calendar.
